PURPOSE:To immediately read a short data with simple constitution by detecting that a data accumulation amount is equal to or less than a register length, and writing a write data in a read data register in a first in first out (FIFO) memory. CONSTITUTION:An address comparator 14 compares an output from a write address counter 9 and that from a read address counter 10, and from the difference value resulting in said comparison, calculates the data accumulation amount in dynamic memory cell sub-arrays 1, 2. If it is detected that only such data as equal to or shorter than data lengths in write data registers 3, 4 are stored in the arrays 1, 2, write switches 53, 63 are controlled by the output of the comparator 14, said stored data is directly written also in the read data registers 5, 6, then read out immediately without waiting for the time when registers 3, 4 come full with data. In such a way, the titled semiconductor is made such one that even a short data can be read immediately with the simple constitution. Also, to read the content of a write data register, the constitution can be similar to that described in the above.
