PURPOSE:To speedily measure data in detail by permitting a terminal equipment to measure data during a specified measurement period and transmitting collected data in a lump according to a request from a central processing unit after some period as passed. CONSTITUTION:The CPU1 transmits measurement start requests, measurement start time, measurement period data to plural terminal equipments 2, and makes them ready for measuring data simultaneously. In accordance with the data from the CPU1, the terminal equipment 2 gives a measurement command to a device 3 to be measured during the specified measurement period, obtains measurement data and buffers it. The terminal equipment 1 repeats such procedures until it receives a measurement stop command from the CPU1. The terminal equipment 2 transmits the buffered measurement data to the CPU1 when the measurement that the data from the CPU1 specifies is finished, when a buffer becomes full, or when a request that collects measurement data transmitted in a given length of time after the CPU1 gave the measurement start request is received.
