PURPOSE:To access directly a memory by adding an optional distance from a cell data part to an address given from a tag memory. CONSTITUTION:When a cell at an optional length (r) distant from a pointer address set to an address register 7 is accessed, the length (r) is reported to an address update quantity setting circuit 8, and an adder 9 is used to generate the address of this cell. That is, the address update quantity setting circuit 8 applies the length (r) to the adder 9 in case of r<=l when the value in a linear degree register 14 is denoted as l. This length is added to the pointer address set to the address register 7, and the address register 7 is updated with the resultant value. This new address in the address register 7 is the address of the objective cell, and this address is used to access this cell of a pointer memory 5. |
