PURPOSE:To measure a find load - a considerably large load continuously with high accuracy by arranging force detectors which differ load measurement range successively to that their directions of load application are different, and fitting rollers to the detectors. CONSTITUTION:A force detector 2 which utilizes a strain gauge consists of a large load cell 2a and a small load cell 2b and provided successively in a case main body 1. Rollers 3 and 4 for making the direction of loads applied thereto different are fitted to the load cells 2a and 2b. Idle rollers 6 and 7 are provided in front of the roller 3 and behind the roller 4, and a measurement roller 8 for speed and length measurement where a rotary encoder 9 is fitted detachably is provided further behind the idle roller 7. A wire 13 to be measured is provided along the idle roller 6, roller 3, roller 4, idle roller 7, and roller 8. Consequently, the measured value of a load placed on the wire 13 can be expanded to about twice the measurement width that the tension gauge has.
