PURPOSE:To omit an exclusive key that releases retrieval of an array by using a key serving as an indicating function to release retrieval and releasing retrieval in response to the operation of said key. CONSTITUTION:When a key input part 1 has input of the numerical value, functions, etc., a display part 2 displays equations and answers, etc. The display contents of the part 2 are stored in a display buffer 3. A processing part 4 works by the programs stored in a ROM 5. A RAM 6 contains a memory part 6a storing the number of arrays, a memory part 6b storing the array dimensions, a memory part 6c storing the added characters of arrays, and a memory part 6d storing the array data. The part 1 includes a key serving as an indicating function to release retrieval. Thus the retrieval is released in response to the operation of said key in a retrieval mode.
