PURPOSE:To allow the automatic fitting of a chain by providing a pair of clip pieces brought into contact with a tire side wall when pressed to a tire to constitute a clip device to hold the tip of an antislip chain extracted from a drum on the tire tip. CONSTITUTION:When a chain 110 is to be fitted to a tire 100, first a hydraulic cylinder 60 is stretched, and the chain 110 connected to a chain hook 10 is brought near the tire 100 via a piston rod 70. The tire contact section 78 of the clip piece 74 of the first clip 40 is pressed to the tire 100, thereby the clip piece 74 is rotated inward around a rotary shaft 82 to pinch the tire 100. Under this condition, the tire 100 is rotated in the predetermined direction, an L-type member 120 fixing the clip piece 74 is rotated around an axis 72 integrally with the tire 100, thereby the chain 110 is wound around the tire 100 while being extracted from a chain drum 90. |
