PURPOSE:To perform the numerical simulation which reduced man power by separating a non-rectangular analysis subject area defined as the rectangular sum/difference into a boundary and an inside area to check the necessity/ sufficiency of the given boundary conditions and at the same producing automatically the coefficient matrix/constant vector. CONSTITUTION:An area definition evolving device 13 supplies the hierarchical analysis area defining information 11 obtained from the rectangular sum/ difference and evolves it in a simple form containing no hierarchical definition to store it again. An area dividing/boundary extracting device 14 supplies the information 11 and the boundary condition information 12 to divide an analysis subject area into basic areas having no mutual superposition and at the same time extracts a boundary of the analysis subject area based on the connecting relation among those basic areas. Then the information on the basic areas and the boundary are delivered to the area dividing/boundary extracting result 17. A boundary condition check device 15 collates the result 17 with the information 12 and delivers the result of collation to the check result 19. Then a coefficient matrix generating device 16 produces a coefficient matrix 110 from the result 17, the information 12 and a partial differential equation 18.
