PURPOSE:To facilitate the automation of the installation of various arts into an engine room by dividedly forming an engine compartment including the front wall and right and left side walls of said engine room in the front part of an automobile body and said automobile body, and joining both via a connecting part. CONSTITUTION:The captioned automobile body is divided into an engine compartment 7 in the front side part and an automobile body 8, which is further divided into an upper body 9 and a lower body 10 by means of a door waist line W.L. The engine compartment 7 has a sub-frame 11 of a parallel-crosses structure and partition walls 24 forming the right and left side walls of an engine room 6 are installed on both sides of the sub-frame 11. A connecting part 29 which extends in the longitudinal direction of the body is fixed to the rear end upper part of each of the partition walls 24, and connecting parts 38 are provided on both sides on the upper part of the dash part 36 of the lower body 10. And, a guide plate 32 is extendedly provided on the lower face of one of the connecting parts 29, to restrain the longitudinal position of the connecting parts 38 at the time of assembling the automobile body.
