PURPOSE:To attain high track density by forming a correction signal in which a level of a reproducing signal of a sub head is varied in response to a position deviation signal obtained from a reproducing signal from two sub heads and increasing/decreasing the correction signal to/from the reproducing signal from a main head. CONSTITUTION:If position deviation takes place to information 1 recorded by the main head 3, the signal of information 1 and the output of the sub heads 2, 4 are added/subtracted from/to a reproducing signal 3a of the main head 3. If this case, signals 2a, 4a from the sub heads 2, 4 are given to multiplier and integrator 6, 7 and output signals 6a, 7a show how much position deviation is given in which side of heads. Signals 11a, 12a obtained by changing the gain of gap gain regulators 11, 12 by the signals 6a, 7a and a reproducing signal 9a from the main head are given to an adder 13a to reproduce the reproducing signal from the information 1 correctly. |
