PURPOSE:To enable the existence of an abnormal state to be diagnosed earlier even if load current is equal to or less than rated current, by discriminating the abnormal state when the value of the ratio of a current amplitude value on every cycle to motor output is larger than the value of the ratio of an upper limit on a normal state. CONSTITUTION:By a current detector 3, the load current of a motor 1 is detected, and is fed to a micro-computer 5. By the micro-computer 5, an arithmetic is performed on a value corresponding with motor output, namely, the ratio of a current amplitude value on every cycle to the load current, rated current, the motor output, torque, or the like, and when an arithmetic-performed load current amplitude factor is larger than the amplitude factor of an upper limit on a normal state, then the output of abnormal state signal is generated. As a result, the abnormal state of rotary equipment can be detected earlier. |
