PURPOSE:To release an original with simple structure by providing an original release lever to be slided in nearly the same direction as the operating direction of a contact type line image sensor. CONSTITUTION:In sliding the release lever 12 in the backward direction of an equipment while a knob 11b of the release lever 11 and a knob 1a of a chassis are nipped by fingers, a projection part 11a and a step 3b of a contact line image sensor unit 3 are abutted on each other. In sliding the lever further, the image sensor unit 3 is turned around the point clockwise against a spring force and is not abutted on a roller, a paper path is released and the paper is extracted externally out of the equipment. In such a case, the parts abutted on the points 11a, 3a is desirably in point contact or in line contact in the axial direction of the turning center of the unit 3 and the projection 11a or the step 3b is desirably formed to be semispherical or cylindrical.
