PURPOSE:To make it possible to facilitate the adjustment of a boring head, by providing an ultra-hard cutting blade holding member for adjustably holding an ultra-hard cutting blade with an exchangeable head and in accordance with machining dimensions, and an ultra-hard pad holding member for adjustably holding an ultra-hard pad. CONSTITUTION:The cutting position of an ultra-hard cutting blade 30 is adjusted in accordance with machining dimensions by an ultra-hard cutting blade holding member 3, and the positions of ultra-hard pads 40, 50 is be adjusted in accordance with the above-mentioned machining dimensions by ultra-hard pad holding members 4, 5. With this arrangement, it is possible to easily adjust the positions of the ultra-hard cutting blade 30 in accordance with the machining dimensions. The above-mentioned machining dimensions may be easily adjusted over a wide range by exchanging the ultra-hard cutting blade 3 and the ultra-hard pads 4, 5 with those having predetermined dimensions for every predetermined machining dimension. Further, it is possible to extremely easily adjust the machining dimensions, thereby it is possible to greatly shorten the time of adjustment for a head 2.
