PURPOSE:To attain monitoring by a speaker and a response by a microphone even when both hands cannot be used by equipping the microphone and speaker in a telephone set main body and using a switch to attain remote control. CONSTITUTION:A switch main body 11 is constituted separately from a telephone set main body 1, arranged on a floor and a wall so as to be operated by a foot or an elbow. At first, when the switch main body 11 is turned on, a monostable multivibrator 15 is driven, a photocoupler 16 is driven and it becomes same as the speaker switch 3 turned on. When the operation of the monostable multivibrator 15 is finished, the monostable multivibrator 17 is driven, a photocoupler 18 is driven and it becomes same as the microphone switch 4 to be turned, on resulting in that the respeonse by hand-free functions is attained by the operation of the switch main body 11.
