PURPOSE:To distribute uniformly an olefinic compound on a mold surface and to attempt to improve durability and peelability of the mold surface, by treating a thin film of the olefinic compound formed on the surface of a transfer mold at above m.p. of the compound. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a transfer mold 1 is coated with an olefinic compound such as a solid paraffine wax, a polyethylene wax, a polypropylene wax and so on to form a thin film 3, which is then treated at above the m.p. The fluidity of the olefinic compound is improved by this heat treatment and the film thickness distribution and the adherence on the surface of the mold 1 becomes uniform. It is thereby attempted to make the life of the mold longer. Moreover, the adhesive strength of the thin film 2 of the olefinic compound against the resin for transfer is very low and therefore the peelability between the mold and the resin after transfer is improved to transfer a mold pattern precisely.
