PURPOSE:To make a point of card wire form in a sharp needle point securable even there is deformation in a raising roller, by attaching a side abrasive wheel and a surface abrasive wheel separately to the turning shaft installed in parallel with the raising roller. CONSTITUTION:Driving each of wheel driving motors 8 and 9, a side abrasive wheel 1 and a surface wheel 4 are rotated and simultaneously slide bases 5 and 6 are advanced forward up to the setting position by wheel feeding motors 13 and 14, then a traversing screw shaft 17 is rotated by a motor 18, a body base 11 is moved sidewise along a guide rail 15, and the side of a needle point of the raising card clothing rolled on a raising roller 21 and a point of card wire are polished. At this time, a variation in card wire grinding pressure to be produced in contact with the needle point by these wheels 1 and 4 is detected as a coulomb variation of each of these motors 8 and 9, and these wheels 1 and 4 are traversed over an overall length of the raising roller 21 while adjusting these motors 13 and 14 in making them rotate clockwise or counterclockwise with a difference with the setting value. Thus, even if there is deformation in the raising roller, a uniform point of card wire form is securable over the whole width.
