PURPOSE:To increase a thermal response speed, by providing a thermal recording layer, which contains a microcapsule containing either one of a diazo compound, a coupling component and a basic compound, and a nitrile compound, on a support. CONSTITUTION:A coating solution, wherein a diazo compound and a coupling component being main components are contained along with a basic substance and other additives, is prepared. This coating solution is applied to a support such as paper or a synthetic resin film by bar coating or blade coating and dried to form a thermal recording material having a thermal recording layer with a thickness of about 2.5-25g/m<2>. As an embodiment of the diazo compound, there is 4-diazo-1-dimethylaminobenzene and, as an embodiment of the coupling component, there are resorcin, fluoroglycine or the like and, as an embodiment of the basic substance, there are an inorg. salt, ammonium salt, org. amine, amide or the like. |
