PURPOSE:To enhance dynamic sensitivity and to impart gradation, by providing a seal film to the surface opposed to a thermal head of a resin material having specific glass transition temp. containing an azo-type disperse dye with specific m.p., a specific water-soluble resin and a surfactant. CONSTITUTION:To the surface opposed to a thermal head of a resin material containing an azo-type disperse dye 3 with m.p. of 60-150 deg.C, a water-soluble resin 2 with glass transition temp. of 80-140 deg.C having no OH-group in the molecular structure and a surfactant, a seal film 1 preventing the leakage of said resin material is provided to form a thermal transfer recording sheet. As the water-soluble resin, there is polyvinyl pyrrolidone and, as the seal film, there is a polyethylene terephthalate film. When the aforementioned thermal transfer recording sheet is heated by a thermal head, the dye 3 is melted and comes out to a recording medium side through the fine pores 4 formed in the water-soluble resin material 2. |
