发明名称 WIRE-CUT ELECTRIC DISCHARGE MACHINING DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to increase the speed of machining, by using a material having a high impact absorbing capacity, as a core wire, and by using a material having a satisfactory discharge characteristic, as a cover wire. CONSTITUTION:A core wire 14 is made of a material having a high impact absorbing capacity, such as annealed brass or the like having a tensile strength of about 45-60kg/mm<2>. Further, a cover wire 15 made of a material such as zinc alloy having a satisfactory discharge characteristic. Using a wire electrode 1 made of the above-mentioned materials, it is possible to absorb vibration occurring during electric discharge machining, that is, reaction force which is exerted to the wire electrode 1 by discharge arcs, and therefore the displacement of the wire electrode may be restrained and, simultaneously, the pressure of machining liquid is raised to increase the flow rate and flow velocity of machining liquid are increased so that the recovery efficiency of purification in the discharge gap may be enhanced. Further, it is possible to greatly decrease breakage of the wire electrode 1 so that the charge energy may be increased, thereby it is possible to enhance and contribute the machining speed.
