PURPOSE:To reduce wasteful consumption of abrasive grains to the utmost as well as to bring its excellent sharpness into full play all the time, by positioning a lot of abrasive grains buriedly in a ring body consisting of a soft metal, and specifying the grade between this ring body and each abrasive grain. CONSTITUTION:A ring body 8 being formed by a relatively soft metal is held between both upper and lower 3 and 4 of a press die 1 and set up there. At this time, a lot of abrasive grains 9 are set up between an end face of the ring body 8 and the lower die 3 or the upper die 4. Next, this ring body 8 is machined till almost the whole area of these abrasive grains 9 being made contact with an end face of the lower die 3 or the upper die 4 is buried and situated in the ring body 8 in the state it is heated to such temperature that is below a melting point of the metal, and comes to elongation deformation maximum and minimum hardness. In addition, the ring body 8 is colled while contnuing this pressurization, whereby such a grindstone that has allowance in the grade is secured. In consequence, these abrasive grains 9 comes to be maintained inside the ring body 8 with proper holding force, thus wasteful consumption of these abrasive grains 9 is avoided to the utmost, autogenous action takes place there, and excellent sharpness is securable all the time.
