PURPOSE:To make a high-speed stable recording easy, by a method wherein a first energy generation is provided along a liquid passage, a second energy generation means which crosses the liquid passage is provided on its upstream side, and the component in the liquid-passage width direction thereof is made wider than a liquid passage width. CONSTITUTION:A second energy generation means 603 for preventing the loss of energy supplied to ink 602 by a discharge energy generation means is so installed as to cross a liquid passage basically on the upstream side of said discharge energy generation means (on the opposite side of a discharge opening). Then, the component Hl in the liquid passage width direction of this second energy generation means 603 is made wider than a liquid passage width Nl. Therefore, the section in an ink discharge direction of a bubble 601 generated by this second energy generation means 603 becomes a size containing almost the section of the liquid passage as is shown in the drawing. The clearance between the liquid passage wall and the bubble is practically disappeared, and the loss on the upstream side of discharge energy can be restrained. |
