摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the title highly functional adsorptive composition, by incorporating microparticulate active carbon in a regenerated cellulose matrix. CONSTITUTION:Microparticulate active carbon of an iodine adsorption >=200mg/g and an average particle diameter <=2mum, optionally containing 10-1,000wt% adsorbed solvent such as benzene or methanol, is dispersed in water to obtain an aqueous dispersion of an active carbon content of 5-80wt%. A mixture of a viscose having a cellulose content of 8-10% and containing 50-80%, based on the cellulose, alkali with, optionally, an aqueous solution of 20-50wt%, based on cellulose, at least one metal salt selected from among (acid)carbonates, (acid)sulfites and sulfides of Na, K, Ca and Mg is instantaneously mixed with said aqueous active carbon dispersion and immediately regenerated by coagulation in a coagulation bath containing 80-120g/l H2SO4 and 50-360g/l of Na2SO4 at 40-50 deg.C, scoured and heat-dried to obtain a functional regenerated cellulose composition of an adsorption activity retentivity of active carbon >=50%.
