PURPOSE:To recover heat from air which has cooled electrical equipment so as to enhance the overall heat exchanging efficiency by disposing the heat generating electrical equipment on one side of the electricals sections to oppose a ventilation port, and forming a cooling passage that leads from the ventilation port to the windward side of an outdoor heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:By operating a blower fan 26 of an outdoor unit, air is drawn from the inlet of a main air passage through an outdoor heat exchanger 25 for heat exchange to be supplied out of an outlet 21. At an electricals section 27, outside air is taken in from a ventilation port 32 disposed on its side. The air passing through a cooling passage 33 contacts a reactor 30 and heat dissipation fins 31 of a giant transistor 29 to cool them, and the heated air flows to the side ahead of the outdoor heat exchanger 25. The total air passing through the cooling passage 33 passes through the outdoor heat exchanger 25, and, after its heat was recovered, is supplied out of the outlet 21. Since the outdoor heat exchanger 25 acts as evaporator when operating under heating mode for instance, the heat is recovered by causing the hot air heated when cooling heat generating electrical equipment in the cooling passage to flow through the outdoor heat exchanger 25.
