PURPOSE:To prevent skid in parking and drag in turning by actuating and releasing automatically a parking brake on the basis of information from each sensor such as a car speed sensor, a seat sensor detecting a driver's sitting on and leaving his/her seat, and an accelerator sensor detecting the ON/OFF conditions of an accelerator pedal. CONSTITUTION:Operation is made with each element of an inverter 58, and RS flip-flop 59, AND gates 60 and 62 and a NOR gate 63 on the basis of information from a car speed sensor 57 detecting a run and a stop, a seat sensor 61 detecting a driver's sitting on and leaving his/her seat, an accelerator sensor 64 detecting the ON/OFF condition of an accelerator pedal. And a solenoid 3 for driving a parking brake and another solenoid for releasing said brake are thereby actuated. The driving and the releasing of the parking brake can all be done automatically and it becomes possible to prevent skid at the parking of a car due to the failure of braking operation or insufficient braking operation, or prevent drag due to the start of a car without releasing the parking brake.
