发明名称 MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve signal to noise (C/N) at a short wavelength by using a thin ferromagnetic metallic film which is amorphous for a medium formed by laminating a fine particle coated layer and the thin ferromagnetic metallic film on a high-polymer film. CONSTITUTION:The thin ferromagnetic metallic film 5 which is amorphous is used for the medium formed by laminating the fine particle coated layer 2 and the thin ferromagnetic metallic film on the high-polymer film 1. The amorphous film 5 is made of Co-O, Co-Fe-O, etc., so that coercive force is assured by shape anisotropy and the finer particles. The partial change in the magnetic characteristics by the strain generated in the magnetic recording layer by the stress which the projecting parts receive under high speed sliding with a magnetic head and the consequent change in a recording level and increase in modulation noise are thereby decreased to a negligible level and the good C/N is maintained without increasing modulation noise even if the recording wavelength is short.
