PURPOSE:To make the removal of a valve unnecessary in the case of cleaning or the like of a piping, by fitting a protecting member consisting of a flexible synthetic resin and having a lateral hole part opened to the side thereof in a valve housing so as to be communicated with the cavity extending downward from the upper opening part. CONSTITUTION:A protecting member 1 having an opening 2, a cavity part 3, and a lateral hole part 4 and being made up of a flexible resin is pushed in inside a valve body 10. In this case, the flat surface parts 5, 6 of the protecting member 1 are brought into close contact with the seat surfaces 10a, 10b of the valve body 10 respectively, so that the intrusion of liquid between both is made impossible. In this condition, as shown by an arrow A, first, cleaning liquid is sent into the piping from the opening 2 of the projecting member 1 via the valve body 10, and at the same time after cleaning water and drying air has been passed through, a liquid synthetic resin, or example, is sent to perform rust preventive film coating on the inner surface of the piping. In this case, since the synthetic resin does not flow into the interior of the valve body 1, the trouble in the operation of the valve can be prevented.
