MULTICHANNEL TYPE SEMICONDUCTIVE RADIATION DETECTOR

PURPOSE:To cool a housing, a semiconductive radiation detector array and an amplifier, by allowing gas or a fluid to flow to the hollow part of the housing having the semiconductive radiation detector array and the amplifier fixed thereto. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 3 composed of an insulating material is formed on a housing 1 constituted of a metal such as Fe having a high atomic number, reduced in scattering of radioactive rays and low in heat conductivity and having a hollow part 2 capable of permitting a liquid or gas to flow. A cooling medium 10 held to a definite temp. of 30 deg.C or less at the time of operation and composed of gas such as N2, water or a liquid organofluorine compound is allowed to flow to the hollow part 2 to hold the temp. of each multichannel type semiconductive radiation detector 9 to a definite temp. of 30 deg.C or less.
