The subject of the present invention relates to frameworks intended for covering cultivation enclosures and other shelters for growing plants. The framework according to the invention is formed by a frame 4, made of material such as adhesive-coated polyvinyl chloride, mitred and then adhesively bonded, heat-welded or riveted at its corners. The frame 4 has a rabbet into which a sheet 3 made of plastic such as cellular (foamed) polycarbonate is fitted, and then bonded or heat-welded while being held under pressure. <IMAGE>
