PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording material which has high color- forming sensitivity and whose color can be formed with high density, by providing on a supporting body a heat-sensitive color-forming layer containing a colorless or light-colored leuco dye and an acidic material formed of specific alkylphenone. CONSTITUTION:In a heat-sensitive recording material provided with a heat- sensitive color-forming layer containing a colorless or light-colored leuco dye (ex. commonly-named crystal violet lactone, etc.) and an acid material on a supporting body, alkylphenone (ex. 3,4-dihydroxypropiophenone, etc.) which has two or more OH groups in its benzene nucleus and in which the number of carbons of alkyl is two or more is used as the acid material. This constitution makes it possible to obtain a heat-sensitive recording material whose color can be formed with higher density than that in a material for which bisphenol A is used, although it has high color-forming sensitivity. |
