PURPOSE:To reduce installation space and decrease restraint in layout by providing the top part of an arm in movable in the horizontal direction between an arranging station and a loading station and in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:An article W, which is carried into a carrying-in station with an article conveyor 11 and arranged at an arranging station 2 adjacent to the carrying-in station 1, is transferred to a loading station 3 adjacent to the carrying-in station 1 and loaded there. Then, the article W is held by an article holding mechanism 34 provided at the top of a bendable vertical multijoint type arm 33 of a shifting mechanism 31 provided at the upper part of the article conveyor 11 of the carry-in station 1 and the article W held by the article holding mechanism 34 is shifted and loaded to the loading station 3 by bending the arm 33 of the shifting mechanism 31.
