PURPOSE:To make the size of the main body of a cooker small and make it possible to reduce cost and make proper weight detection all the time by detecting the weight of a food by the resistance values of a first and second piezoelectric rubbers and conducting cooking in response to the detected weight. CONSTITUTION:When a food 30 is placed on a shelf plate 2 in a heating chamber 1, the weight of the food 30 exerts weight to a piezoelectric rubber 11, and the resistance value of the piezoelectric rubber 11 becomes R1. In this state a voltage V1 develops in the piezoelectric rubber 11 and this voltage is supplied to an input port P1 of a microcomputer 20. The value V1 volt is stored into the memory of the microcomputer 20. On the other hand, the voltage V2 which is developed in a piezoelectric rubber 12 at temperature T at the present time is supplied to the input port P1 of the microcomputer 20. The value V2 volt is stored in the memory of the microcomputer 20. Then, the microcomputer 20 takes the V1 value into the memory as main data of weight detection but the value of V2 is added by the microcomputer 20 as temperature compensation data to make temperature compensation, and microcomputer 20 takes in the value of voltage as a weight value G and sets cooking time according to the weight value G and carries out the cooking.
