PURPOSE:To facilitate replacement of supply for an image recording device of a thermal printer etc. by locating a supply retaining member selectively in the supply accommodation position for recording or the supply releasing position for supply replacement. CONSTITUTION:The body 1 of an image recording device is equipped with a platen roller 2 rotatably, and the base end of a supply retaining member 3 is fixed to the shaft 2a of said roller 2 with possibility of swinging. The supply retaining member 3 is provided with a groove 3a, and with respect to this part, thermal paper 4 is so arranged as possible to be fitted and removed. The leg part of a toggle spring 7 is detained with a pin 5 mounted at the supply retaining member 3 and a pin mounted at the body 1 of image recording device. A head retaining member 6 is pivoted to the body 1 with a shaft 9, while a head pressurizing member 11 pivoted on the same shaft 9. This head pressurizing member 11 is fitted with a recording head 11A.
