The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for a fault data alarm system in telecommunications systems, in particular telephone systems, in which a maintenance control station is disposed centrally in one of the systems, in which station all fault messages and unmanned external station status messages which are transferred by the external station transmission circuits are received and evaluated. According to the invention, special transmission circuits are used as transmission circuits for the fault data which essentially comprise only those components required for connection set-up and which are connected in secondary systems to any given subscriber circuit of the secondary system. <IMAGE>
