Kiln shuttle

In a tunnel kiln shuttle, a construction is proposed, which comprises an intermediate layer of perforated-brick plates. At least some of the holes of the plates used in this connection are filled with thermal insulating mass. A further perforated-brick plate layer is used for supporting the ceramic articles to be fired. If only some of the holes are filled with isulating mass, the remaining holes serve for collecting the ash in kilns heated with solid fuel (coal). <IMAGE>
