<p>Mechanical control devices and more particularly, apparatus for the control of human beings utilizing physical pressure. The present invention allows for the control of a human being by the selective application of localized pressure. The invention includes a generally J-shaped member (10) of substantially rectangular stock having a cross section defined by opposing relatively wide surfaces (12a, and 12b and 14a and 14b) and opposing relatively narrow surfaces (40 and 44). The J-shaped member (10) has first (12) and second (14) parallel arms with a connecting member (16) therebetween. The first arm (12) being substantially straight and extending substantially beyond said second arm (14) to provide a probe (20). The probe (20) is adjustable in length. By varying the length of the probe (20), the mechanical advantage of the invention may be altered, the blocking length of the probe (20) may be varied, or the apparatus may be collapsed for ease of use, storage or transportation. The first and second arms (12 and 14) are sufficiently spaced apart to receive therebetween an appendage and coact to apply localized pressure to the appendage by a twisting motion.</p> |
