Process for the internal drying of compressors

For the internal drying of hermetic or semihermetic compressors, the latter are evacuated and additionally heated from inside up to about 150 DEG C by applying direct or alternating currents to the windings of their drive motor. Supplementary heating of the respective compressor from outside and breaking the evacuation process at least once are expedient. Nitrogen or dry air may be used for breaking the vacuum.
