<p>Method for reducing the noise generated during a digital image coding-decoding operating by blocks. In order to reduce visible defects in the restored image, the method comprises the filtering of the image by using a filtration window, for example of 3x3 pixels, which scans the image, the current point being the central point of said window, and by determining for each one the average (Moy) of the values associated to the points of said window, and by determining for the current point, from said average (Moy) and from a value characteristic of the operation state of the coder (NR), a filtration parameter (p) which makes possible to determine the filtered value associated to the current point. The invention applies to the restoring of images coded by blocks, particularly in digital video recorders.</p> |
