<p>A connecting pipe for use in filling tanker vehicles or refuelling aircraft is made in eight sections (6,7,12,18,24,25) coupled to each other by swivel joints (9,10,13,20,21,23,26). At the lower end of one section (6) there is an additional swivel joint (8), whose axis, together with the axes of two other joints (9,10), lies in parallel horizontal plane(s). The additional joint is connected to the fuel supply, whilst the third joint (10) slides in a vertical guide (11). A head piece (14), connected to this third joint, has a coupling (15) for attaching to the aircraft fuel tank, or tanker car.</p> |
