The invention relates to an offset screwing tool supplied with auxiliary power, which is equipped with a device for firmly holding, for example, a screw which rotates concomitantly during mechanical tightening of a nut. To be able to use this offset screwing tool also universally with conventional screws which are not equipped with special means for firm holding, the invention provides for a bearing bracket with a counter-holding arm articulated pivotably thereon to be clamped on the offset screwing tool, which counter-holding arm is equipped with a ring spanner for firmly holding the screw head. By means of an actuating arm which engages at least indirectly on this counter-holding arm and can be operated by the hand holding the offset screwing tool, the ring spanner can be lowered onto the head of the concomitantly rotating screw.
