Feeding apparatus for wire or strip material being fed to an eccentric press consists of carrier tongs, and holding tongs which are driven by a common drive to produce counter phase opening and closing. Each set of tongs has the same adjustment shaft which is connected to the control curves of the tongs. These control curves control the vertical movement of tong parts via rollers. Shaft is used to adjust the tongs to different material thicknesses. Shaft operates in a similar way but controls the opening or closing of the tong sets. ADVANTAGE - The adjustment to different thicknesses is made very simply and can be remote controlled. The adjustment can be carried out during the pressing process.
