A motor car door (1) consisting of two stamped-out metal panels (2, 3) welded to each other and forming a rabbet (6) around the periphery of the window opening and which guides the U-shaped edge of two spaced-apart non-parallel panes (7, 8), defined by a continuous spacer (9). Rabbet 6 is reinforced by a metal member 10 covered by low friction- coefficient material. The space between the panes decreases from top to the bottom to reduce wear on the waist seal 18 (see Fig. 6) which is only engaged as the window is closed. <IMAGE> |
