The invention relates to an A-arm for the rear axles of commercial vehicles, having a ball-and-socket joint with a ball (5) inserted rotatably in a housing (4) and having two axle struts (1, 2) which can be pivoted at one end at two points of support on the vehicle and are supported at the other end on the ball-and-socket joint, the opening angle between the axle struts (1, 2) being adjustable. The invention is, in particular, to provide an A-arm of this kind which is simpler in construction, does not have any areas of support subject to corrosion and does not require any fixing after installation. To achieve this end, the axle struts (1, 2) project into a socket (8, 9) in the ball (5) of the joint and inserted into the said ball (5) is a bolt (10) which extends through the socket (8, 9), perpendicularly to the axle struts (1, 2), and on which the axle struts (1, 2) are mounted by means of a hole (14, 15).
