The invention relates to a device for injecting liquid into a container, the injection openings of which are open only during use, but in the rest position are protected by the housing against soiling. Therefore, the device is particularly well suited for flushing out and cleaning polymerization reactors between two reaction cycles. The device essentially comprises a two-part housing (1, 3) and a hollow piston (4) which is movably mounted therein and is provided with the injection openings (7). During forcing in of the liquid, the piston is pushed outwards against the resistance of the restoring device (6), so that the injection openings (7) are exposed.
