The invention relates to an anodised moulding which is formed from a material in the form of a strip and is profiled such that it exhibits a longitudinally running doubled-material portion (1) over at least one cross-sectional region. The special feature of the described anodised moulding is that the doubled-material portion (1) is configured such that it is free of gaps by a sealant (3) arranged therebetween. In the process, a material, in the form of a band, of endless length is moved continuously through a profiling machine, equipped with roll stations, is formed by rolling and profiled such that a cross-section of at least one doubled-material portion is obtained, after which the profiled band is subdivided into sections and anodised. The invention provides that a sealant providing a continuous gap seal in the region of the doubled-material portion is applied continuously onto the material in the form of a band, before or during the operation to form it by rolling. <IMAGE>
