<p>The covering material (1) which contains at least two layers has a covering layer (3) consisting for example of plastic material and an adhesive layer (4) firmly bonded to the latter. The adhesive layer (4) is produced from an absorbent, preferably moisture-resistant material, for example, a random non-woven material, and is impregnated with an activatable adhesive or one of the components of a two-component adhesive. The covering material (1) can consequently be stored and dispatched dry and then be applied in the simplest manner at the laying site by activating it by means of heat or an activator or by contacting it with the second component of the two-component adhesive. <IMAGE></p> |
