Device for clamping on high-speed grinding wheels

There is described a device for clamping on high-speed grinding wheels of invariable-shape profile, for example borazon or diamond grinding wheels. As before, a clamping cone of a grinding spindle can be employed, but the grinding wheel is clamped via a radial plane face against a support flange seated on the clamping cone and is centred on the support flange via a bearing face which extends substantially axially and is located radially internally. In this way, the volume of the grinding wheel unable to be trued up in the machine and the balancing work required after exchanging the grinding wheel are reduced, with the result that grinding wheels of this type can be used more economically.
