A displacement machine for compressible media is described, with at least one displacement chamber arranged in a stationary housing and designed in the manner of a spirally running slot, and with a band-like or tongue-like displacement body assigned to each displacement chamber and likewise of spiral-shaped design. The displacement body (2) is in this case held in such a manner on a disc-shaped rotor, which can be driven eccentrically in relation to the housing (1), that each of its external-wall points executes during operation a circular movement delimited by the circumferential walls of the displacement chamber. The curvature of the displacement body (2) is dimensioned in such a manner in relation to that of the displacement chamber that the displacement body virtually touches the radially internal and external circumferential walls of the displacement chamber on in each case at least one sealing line which advances continuously during operation, a sheet-metal strip (3) with a purposefully applied roughness being held, for sealing the radial gaps formed between the stationary housing and the displacement body, on one of the surfaces, in each case to be sealed in relation to one another, of the components. In order to produce an arrangement which is as simple and as easy to manufacture as possible, the sheet-metal strip (3) is to have scale-shaped punching (4) made outwards and the sheet-metal strip is to consist of an aluminium foil stuck on the component. <IMAGE>
