Cosmetic prepns. used for mouth- skin- and hair-care contain 0.05-8.0 wt.% 3,3-diphenyl propyl 1-methyl penetyl-amine (prenylamine) or its acid addition salt, 20-29 wt.% of one or more solvents, 0-70 wt.% of one or more detergents, and/or emulsifying agents, 0-20 wt.% of one or more cosmetic additives and 0-35 wt.% filler. Regular use of these prepns. prevents the occurence of various mouth and skin diseases which, after once being established, can be cured only with prolonged medical treatment.
