IMPROVED SPECIMAN TEST SLIDE AND METHOD FOR TESTING OCCOUIT BLOOD

The specimen test slide has a front panel with one or more openings, a rear panel and a sheet carrying a test reagent between the front and rear panels and overlying each opening. A hinged cover overlies part of the front panel and the openings and there is a flap in the rear panel opposite the openings and pivotable to expose the underside of the sheet. A control area having a positive and negative monitor is positioned on part of the sheet facing the rear panel. The sides are useful in testing for occult blood in faecal matter. The performance monitor gives an indication of the proper performance of the test system.
