PURPOSE:To obtain an electronic register which can prevent the start of registration to the next customer when a registration ending process, etc. is carried out to a customer, by always monitoring the time during which a specific key and then the next key are operated. CONSTITUTION:The contents of an input buffer IB to which a key input signal is supplied when the power supply of an electronic register is switched on are transferred to a register X of a CPU1. The register X decides the contents of the IB and then produces a signal alpha in the case of a release key to reset a working counter 7. In the case of keys other than the release key, a signal gamma is produced to reset an FF8. Thus the working of the counter 7 is discontinued, and the count value of the counter 7 is transferred to a register Y of the CPU to decide whether it is longer than a prescribed time. If the count value of the counter 7 is longer than the prescribed value, the input processing is inhibited to the operated key. This can prevent the start of registration to a new customer before a specific key is operated to the preceding customer. |
