Suction for filtration of the cleaning liquid from cleaning baths is effected by means of a suction nozzle (1) held on the surface of the cleaning liquid by means of a float body and having a suction chamber (15). The latter has an overflow sill (18) which is held at a presettable distance below the surface of the cleaning liquid by the float body in the form of an air chamber (17) which is open at the bottom. The suction chamber (15) continues downwards in a connection branch (16) which is slipped telescopically onto a connection pipe (28) which projects upwards and is connected to the suction branch of a circulation pump (11). <IMAGE>
